Aston Villa have confirmed the loan signing of Bayern Munich’s Jill Baijings for the 2024/25 season, with the midfielder becoming Robert de Pauw’s first addition of the summer.
Stints at Heerenveen and SGS Essen preceded a spell at Bayer Leverkusen, with Baijings scoring on her league debut against MSV Duisburg in September 2022. She made her Bayern Munich bow a year later, making 15 appearances and registering two assists for Alexander Straus’ side.

She is a player we have tracked for a while and believe she has a lot of key attributes that would strengthen the team’s performances. Jill is a young player with great experience who we look forward to welcoming.”
Baijings will relish the opportunity to play under Robert de Pauw once again, having enjoyed a successful 2022/23 campaign with Bayer Leverkusen under the Dutchman’s guidance. She started 22 matches across all competitions in that season, scoring seven goals and picking up a further six assists.
Baijings will look to make her Barclays Women’s Super League debut in September, with the first matches of the 2024/25 season scheduled to take place on the weekend of Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September.
