Arsenal learn of UEFA Women’s Champions League opponents

Having finished third in the 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League, Arsenal must progress through two rounds of preliminary qualifiers if they’re to reach the group stages of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The Gunners famously failed to do so last season, falling at the first hurdle. They’ll be keen to make amends in 2024/25, and now Jonas Eidevall’s side know who they’ll face along the way following today’s lunchtime draw.

Arsenal have been drawn into Group 3 of the League Path, and will face Rangers in their semifinal clash. Should they progress to the Group 3 final, they’ll face either Atletico Madrid or Rosenborg.

Those clashes will take place on the 4th and 7th of September respectively, with all three matches in each group to be played at the same venue. Arsenal have since confirmed that their Meadow Park ground in Borehamwood will play host to the Group 3 fixtures.

The ultimate aim for Jonas Eidevall’s side, however, is to reach the Lisbon final in May 2025.
