Manchester United have signed Norwegian striker Elisabeth Terland on a two-year deal from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Terland, 23, was Brighton’s top scorer in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season and scored 20 goals in 39 appearances across two top-flight campaigns with them. She joins the Red Devils on a free transfer after the end of her contract with the Seagulls.

After the departures of Lucía García, Katie Zelem, and Mary Earps on free transfers this summer, Terland is a strong addition to the Red Devils’ attacking lineup. The news comes days after Melvine Malard, who scored seven goals in red while on loan this season, signed her own permanent deal with the club.
United boss Marc Skinner said: “Elisabeth is a young player who will bring a fresh dynamic and energy to our team. We are delighted she has chosen to become part of our Manchester United family and look forward to integrating her into our playing squad.”
It’s also Brighton’s second high-profile player loss to a fellow WSL club in recent days, after Katie Robinson departed for Aston Villa upon the expiration of her contract.
