Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Aisha Masaka for an undisclosed fee, with the move subject to the usual regulatory processes.
Masaka joins the club from BK Häcken, having signed for the Damallsvenskan outfit in 2022. Her contributions were crucial as the club finished second in the league and reached the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Her international career has also got off to a flourishing start, with nine goals from her first fifteen senior caps for a Tanzania side that will head to Morocco next summer for the postponed AFCON 2024 tournament.

Brighton’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football, Zoe Johnson, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Aisha to Brighton.”
“She’s competed at a high and testing level in Sweden and represented Häcken in the Champions League.”
“She’s a physical striker who is dominant on the ball and a natural goalscorer. We’re looking forward to welcoming her to Albion ahead of the new season.”
