West Ham to fight Leicester to secure signature of talented Juventus youngster

Leicester City and West Ham are amongst the frontrunners in the race to sign Juventus' Matias Soulé.

Leicester City’s bid to secure the services of Matias Soulé has been disrupted by new interest from West Ham, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 21-year-old excelled during a loan stint with Frosinone Calcio despite the club being relegated to Serie B, scoring 11 goals and registering a further three assists throughout his 36 appearances for the club.

The Foxes have emerged as the frontrunner for Soulé’s signature with some reports suggesting that the Midlands-based side have already submitted an opening bid, though it’s understood that Juventus are holding out for a higher guaranteed fee as opposed to a deal with add-ons.

Di Marzio understand that the player has agreed personal terms with Roma, but the battle has now developed into a three-way fight for his signature as Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham enter the race.

Teun Koopmeiners is expected to join Juventus from Atalanta once Soulé’s exit has been finalised.
