Aston Villa announced today that Villa Park will become the main home ground of its women’s team for the 2024/25 season.
The Villans played five Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures at the club’s famous home ground in their last campaign, and have confirmed that all eleven of this season’s home fixtures will be held at Villa Park.
For other fixtures such as cup competitions, Robert de Pauw’s side will stay at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall FC.
Lee Billiard, Head of Women’s Football at Villa, said: “This is another big step forward and represents a continuation of the progress of our women’s programme at Aston Villa.
“Through the support and hard work of many departments across the football club, we have been able to show Villa Park is a commercially viable venue for us.

The news follows Arsenal’s announcement in May that they would play eight WSL games at the Emirates Stadium, plus any UEFA Women’s Champions League matches. As Leicester City have used the King Power Stadium as their main home league venue since their promotion to the top flight in 2021, Villa’s announcement means three WSL clubs now share the same main home venue as their male counterparts.
