Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales have today learned who they must beat in the playoffs to join England at the 2025 European Championships.
Wales and Scotland won their League B groups, while Northern Ireland finished second in theirs – meaning all three have a chance to take one of the seven remaining spots at the tournament finals through ‘Path Two’ of the playoffs.

Should they come out on top, they will then face a second two-leg playoff just over a month later (with ties to be played on 27 November and 3 December).

The Republic of Ireland will play Georgia to progress to the second round – if they win and Wales beat Slovakia, the two will have to face off for a ticket to Switzerland.
Scotland would face either Montenegro or Finland in the second round, while Northern Ireland’s opponents would be either Albania or Norway.

Scotland qualified for the women’s Euros for the first and only time in 2017, while Northern Ireland made their only appearance in 2022. For Wales, EURO2025 would be their first ever major tournament.
