19-year-old Evie Rabjohn has ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in a blow to United’s pre-season preparations.
The young defender was stretchered off while playing for England against Serbia at the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship. The FA have confirmed today that her injury, as feared, was a ruptured ACL.

After signing her first full-time professional contract with the Red Devils in May 2023, Rabjohn made her debut in a 7-0 victory over Everton in the Continental Tyres League Cup in November. However, she almost immediately suffered a stress fracture in her foot and did not feature again last season for the senior team.
This injury is likely to rule her out for the majority of the 2024/25 season as her wait for consistent first-team minutes continues.
