Luis Enrique revealed what will “count the most” as PSG prepare for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Arsenal, which gets underway at 20:00 BST [21:00 CEST] on Tuesday.
Having suffered a 2-0 loss when they visited the Emirates Stadium in the League Phase of this year’s competition, Enrique warned that “we’re better than we were in October when we lost here” and suggested that facing top opponents early on “helped us and we’re better now, we feel stronger, more complete and more confident.”
The 54-year-old added: “There won’t be any surprises, in the sense that we know Arsenal are a great team that play beautiful football. We’ll need to play extremely well, and with confidence, to win this match.”
“There’ll be two teams that play football well, and who like to have the ball. The key to the match will be the management of different moments – the emotions and the more difficult moments. That’s what’ll count the most,” he explained during his pre-match press conference on Monday.
“We know that playing here, in this stadium and against this team, is always difficult. It’ll be a great match, that’s for sure.”
