Wales to face Bosnia and Herzegovina in play-off semi-finals

Craig Bellamy's side will start their play-off campaign at home as they look to secure qualification for next summer's World Cup.

Wales will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-off semi-final at the Cardiff City Stadium in March. 

Craig Bellamy’s side secured a home tie in the playoffs following a fantastic 7-1 win over North Macedonia on Tuesday, November 18. 

Goals from Harry Wilson, David Brooks, Nathan Broadhead, Brennan Johnson and Daniel James made sure that Wales finished second in Group J. 

The match will be at the Cardiff City Stadium on March 26 and if Wales beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-final, they will then host a home final against Italy or Northern Ireland on March 31st for a spot in next years FIFA world cup.

The Republic of Ireland also discovered their fate and finishing second in their groups, and will face Czechia in Dublin and either play Türkiye or Romania should they win that tie.

Meanwhile, England were unbeaten in their campaign and finished top Group K earning an automatic spot in North America.  

Scotland also finished top of Group C with a stunning win 4-2 win over Denmark to join their neighbours in the US.
