Seeking to avoid an 18th consecutive away defeat in the FA Cup, Rotherham United ventured to Fulham’s Craven Cottage on Thursday to dispute a 2023/24 Third Round tie.

Fulham could have made it two when Andreas Pereira hit the left hand post of Viktor Johansson’s goal in the 42nd minute.
Rotherham manager Leam Richardson predicted this fixture would be a ‘healthy challenge’ for his side. They did well to limit their Premier League opponents to one goal.
They did hit the back of the net once during the match however, Jordan Hugill’s goal was disallowed for an offside call.
Millers left back Cohen Bramall was taken off due to injury. He scored the winning goal in what remains Richardson’s only win in charge of the club.
Fulham travel to Anfield on Wednesday in their next match for the first leg of their EFL Cup semi final against Liverpool. Rotherham face Stoke City at home next Saturday.
