Chelsea’s Sam Kerr to face trial for alleged racially aggrevated harassment of a police officer

As first revealed by MailOnline, Chelsea’s Sam Kerr has pleaded not guilty to the racially aggravated harassment of a police officer as she appeared via video link at Kingston Crown Court on Monday.

Accused of using insulting, threatening or abusive words that caused alarm or distress during an incident in Twickenham in January 2023, Kerr spoke solely to confirm her identity and enter a not guilty plea.

Two police officers are expected to give evidence over the course of a four-day trial, which is scheduled for February 2025.

Kerr is currently sidelined after sustaining a long-term injury to her anterior cruciate ligament during Chelsea’s warm-weather training camp in Morocco in January.
