Irish broadcaster ditch Champions League match to show women’s national team take on England

Irish broadcaster RTÉ confirmed on Monday that due to a scheduling clash, their coverage of Real Madrid v Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League will be moved – allowing them to prioritise the women’s national team’s qualifying fixture against England.

The Republic of Ireland host the Lionesses at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Tuesday evening, with kickoff scheduled for 19:30 BST, but the Cityzens get underway in Madrid thirty minutes later.
