Brighton and Hove Albion resume their Premier League campaign by welcoming Newcastle United to the Amex Stadium on Saturday 18 October.
Before the international break, the home side drew 1-1 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Jan Paul van Hecke scoring the equaliser with four minutes left.
Meanwhile, visitors Newcastle clinched all three points against their opponents, with a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Brighton head into the match on level points with the Magpies and meet for the second time this year after securing a 1-1 draw on the south coast in May.
Brighton have lost one of their 11 Premier League home matches winning six and drawing four since suffering a 3-0 defeat against Aston Villa in April.
Newcastle are the only side to visit Brighton without winning maximum against the home side.
Previous meetings between the teams show Brighton have won three and drew five at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton also knocked the Magpies out of the fifth round of the FA Cup gaining a 2-1 victory over Eddie Howe’s men.
This will be the 38th meeting between the sides with Brighton securing 15 wins to Newcastle’s 11.
Newcastle have only won two of their last sixteen games against the Seagulls, who remain unbeaten against the Magpies in their last five head to head matches.
Eight of the 11 goals scored in Newcastle’s premier league games this season have been scored in the second half.
The magpies have confirmed that they will be without Yoane Wissa and Tino Livramento, both thanks to knee injuries, as well as Lewis Hall who has a problem with his hamstring. Jacob Ramsey and Lewis Miley are also in doubt thanks to ankle and calf problems respectively.
Meanwhile, Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler has confirmed that Brajan Gruda will be unavailable after picking up an injury before the international break while on duty with Germany under 21s.
Solly March, Adam Webster and Jack Hinshelwood will also be absent from the match due to injuries.
Meanwhile, Kaoru Mitoma, Joel Veltman and Diego Gomez will be assessed ahead of kick off.
The match against Brighton v Newcastle will not be shown in the UK due to the 3pm blackout rule.
In the US the match will be shown live on the USA Network and NBC sports. The match will kick off at 3pm.
