Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman has announced the squad that will represent England during the upcoming Arnold Clark Cup. The round-robin style tournament will see the side take on South Korea, Italy and Belgium – with games hosted in three UK cities.
England captain Leah Williamson is back in the squad after being sidelined through injury – though notable absences include Nikita Parris, Bethany England and Beth Mead. Emily Ramsey is included for the first time – with England’s abundance of goalkeeping talent growing by the year, as Mary Earps, Sandy MacIver and Ellie Roebuck also make the squad.
Leah Williamson will be accompanied in defence by Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Jess Carter, Niamh Charles, Rachel Daly, Alex Greenwood, Maya Le Tissier and Lotte Wubben-Moy. England’s midfield will consist of a combination of Laura Coombs, Fran Kirby, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, Keira Walsh and Katie Zelem.
Wiegman’s attacking options are so vast – but the Dutch boss has opted to select Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, Chloe Kelly, Jessica Park, Katie Robinson, Alessia Russo and Ebony Salmon. The tournament kicks off on February 16th, as England face South Korea at Stadium MK.
