Newcastle and Brazil star Joelinton was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Newcastle football player was pulled over by Northumbria Police at 1:20am this morning around the Ponteland Road area of Newcastle.
Joelinton Casio, 26, of Ponteland, has since been charged whilst above the prescribed limit for alcohol

The player will appear in a magistrates court in Newcastle on the 26th of January.
Eddie Howe and the club are aware of the issue and are dealing with it internally – but fans of the Magpies won’t be happy about the controversy, with the midfielder finally having acclimatised to the pace of the Premier League after struggling initially following his £40 million move.
Newcastle will be hoping this doesn’t have affect their league form, as they sit 3rd in the table currently and show no signs of stopping anytime soon.
