UEL PREVIEW: Sevilla v AS Roma Team News, Predicted Lineups and Where to Watch

Sevilla and AS Roma will face off at the Puskás Aréna on Wednesday, as both sides battle to lift the UEFA Europa League trophy. It’ll be tough ask for José Mourinho and his men though, with the most successful club in the competition’s history standing in their way.

AS Roma overcame Bayer Leverkusen to reach this stage of the competition, securing a narrow lead in the first leg that they were able to preserve in a goalless return fixture. As for Sevilla, they faced Juventus – needing extra time to overcome the Italian side in the second leg.

Team News

Marcos Acuña is suspended for Sevilla, after picking up a red card in extra time against Juventus. His absence is likely to lead to Alex Telles filling in at left-back. Tanguy Nianzou and Marcão are both reportedly back to fitness, though they’re unlikely to last ninety minutes and may have to settle for a place on the bench.

For Roma, Chris Smalling has returned to fitness after overcoming a hip issue, and he should slot in to the centre of the Italians’ defence. After suffering ankle issues, Paulo Dybala appears to be fit again – though they’ll be without Marash Kumbulla and Rick Karsdorp.

Predicted Lineups

Sevilla: Bono; Navas, Bade, Gudelj, Telles; Fernando, Rakitic; Ocampos, Torres, Gil; En-Nesyri

AS Roma: Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Celik, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham
