Football fans take on Dutch challenge in aid of male mental health awareness

James Harrison from TTMSports and his co-host, James Hounsell, form part of the team that will be heading to the Netherlands in May, to attempt yet another unofficial World Record – this time, in aid of male mental health awareness.

The pair – alongside Dave Vowles and Simon Marshall – will be attempting to visit all eighteen Eredivisie stadiums in just twenty-four hours – which the TTMSports team believe will be enough to break the World Record. James has previously attempted the same feat in England, visiting all 20 Premier League stadiums in just 21 hours and 6 minutes.

The Dutch attempt will strive to raise as much money as possible for Mates in Mind – a charity that focuses on removing the stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace. It’s a subject that the team feel strongly about, and one that promotes a vital message to millions of men across the country. On a personal level, James Harrison has spoken out about his struggles with mental health that were caused by an unsupportive workplace over the pandemic – and he hopes that this challenge will draw plenty of attention to an important topic.

We’ll be speaking to James Harrison on Tuesday’s podcast – and we’ll add the link to this article when it’s available to listen to. In the meantime, you can donate to his JustGiving page by clicking this link.
