Aston Villa forward linked with Mexico move despite being under contract until 2026

Despite being under contract at Aston Villa until 2026, Fernando Esquivel reports that Alisha Lehmann could be swapping the Midlands for Mexico this summer – with three clubs interested in securing the 25-year-old’s signature.

Those three clubs are Querétaro, León and Club América. Esquivel suggests that the latter is the most likely to secure the Switzerland international’s services, after she has failed to set the Barclays Women’s Super League alight this season. América finished second in the 2023/24 Liga MX Femenil Torneo Apertura, the first half of the Mexican league calendar.

Lehmann has made twelve appearances in the league throughout 2023/24 but has failed to register a single goal contribution, with her impact on the team lessened by the arrival of Canada’s Adriana Leon.

Carla Ward’s Aston Villa endured a tricky start to the league campaign, but have turned their fortunes around in recent months and now find themselves in 7th place ahead of their match against struggling West Ham United this weekend.

Should reports of Lehmann’s departure come to fruition, Ward will be eying up versatile replacements to fill the gap left in her squad

  2. You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but
I find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I might never understand.
It kind of feels too complex and extremely huge for me.
I’m looking ahead for your subsequent put up, I’ll attempt to get
the dangle of it! Escape roomy lista
